Alexandria, LA - Rapides Parish School Food & Nutrition Services, today announced an amendment to its policy for serving meals to students under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2023-2024 school year. All schools in the District will be CEP, which means all students will be served lunch and breakfast at no charge. 

Although family income data is not collected through the free and reduced-price meal application form, this data needs to be collected in another way in order to determine percentages of economically disadvantaged students for state and federal programs, that still require this information for funding purposes.

The District is asking that each household complete a short Information Household Survey. The Survey will be sent home with your children on August 14, 2023, or can be completed online at www.rpsb.us effective July 31, 2023. Your participation is essential in order for us to provide the Louisiana Department of Education with the information it needs to ensure our schools will continue to receive critical state and federal funding.

Please complete and return the Information Household Survey to your child's school or Food & Nutrition Service Office before September 26, 2023.
