The "RPSB Therapeutic Connection Services" is a resource that allows The Board to give back to individuals who may be struggling to cope with everyday stressors, as well as those specific to the teaching profession. They hope that their educators will take advantage of the services provided by this resource.

According to the resource's brochure, there are several experiences that can affect an educator's mental health. Some of those experiences include, but not limited to: Anger management deficits, anxiety, COVID stress, depression, grief and loss, life transitions and parenting.

If you're an educator and are looking for help, this resource allows four free telehealth visits through Ochsner. Here are the steps to apply for a telehealth visit:
  1. Enroll in "Ochsner Anywhere Care" at ldoe.ochsneranywherecare.com
  2. Schedule an appointment through the website or download the "Ochsner Anywhere Care" app from the "Google" or "Apple" app store to start from a cell phone.
  3. Enter service key 'LDOE' when prompted. Use the coupon code "TEACH" when prompted.
Educators may make a no-cost appointment with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker contracted through RPSB to help assess your mental health needs and connect with a long-term provider. To do that, click on this hyperlink http://forms.gle/PMr2LsyKx6NzGG4TA to feel out the form to apply.
