BECOME A TEACHER

Apply In Our Portal
The first step in our process is to apply! In our employment portal, you’ll be able to view open positions, qualifications, job descriptions, pay scale, & more.

2.
Interview
If your application is chosen, the principal of that particular school you applied for will reach out to schedule an interview at the school. 
3.
Get A Principal Recommendation
If the principal chooses to hire you, the principal will make a recommendation for hire to the Human Resources Department.

Human Resources will reach out for fingerprinting and a drug screening.
  • The cost of fingerprinting is $20 and only cash is accepted. For questions about fingerprinting, reach out to Theda McDowell at 318-487-0888 with Human Resources.
  • LA Wallet is not honored as a form of identification. 
4.
Human Resources Will Issue A Start Date
Once we've received the fingerprint and drug screen results, Human Resources will issue a start date. HR will contact you and communicate the start date. 
5.
Attend a New Hire Meeting
Before their start date, all new hires must attend a new hire meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to review procedures and policies before starting the job.
6.
Begin Teaching
Once you've completed all of the steps in the process, it's time to begin teaching!
