Tioga First AG Championship!

THS AG"In all of Tioga FFA’s history, we have never had a state finalist (top four in the state) in a state competition. Today, a team of freshmen and sophomores made HISTORY by bringing home not only a state banner but a state CHAMPIONSHIP. They competed in Ag issues forum, which is an intense team competition where a group of students comes up with a current agricultural issue, Tioga’s was on debating if animal shelters should or should not continue to allow animal euthanasia based on overpopulation. They researched, prepared a 15-minute demonstration, visited local vet clinics and animal shelters to become experts on the topic. They then answered 15 minutes of questions that tested how extensive their knowledge on the topic was. The team of five will travel in October to Indianapolis to compete against other state champions at the National FFA Convention. This is an extreme accomplishment."
