Pre-K Registration

You must apply for the school you are currently zoned for. Check your zoned school here. 

GUIDELINES 

To be accepted for Pre-K, the parent/guardian must complete:

• New Student Registration in OnCourse and provide the necessary documentation and
• Complete the Pre-K screener at their zoned school during on-site registration.

If all required documents are not received, your child will be automatically withdrawn and placed at the bottom of the waiting list. 

The following documents are required at on-site registration:

• Child’s Birth Certificate

• Child’s Social Security Card

• Up-to-Date Shot Record

• Proof of Residence

• Proof of Income- 2 most recent consecutive pay stubs, SNAP/Food Stamp Benefits

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Complete the New Student Registration in OnCourse.

2. Have the following documents ready to upload when registering your child:

• Photo ID (Driver’s license, State-issued ID, or Military ID)

• Child’s Birth Certificate 

• Child’s Social Security Card

• Up-to-Date Shot Record

• Proof of Income (at least one for every adult - 18 yrs or older living in the home) 

  • Acceptable forms: 

    • 2 consecutive pay statements 

    • Official letter from the employer

    • Statement of No Income

    • Declaration of Irregular Employment form

    • SNAP Benefits Statement

    • Letter from Social Security Administration

• Two Proofs of Residence with your name, address, and date

• One(1) current utility bill showing the physical residence address for service at that address within the school’s attendance zone AND

• One (1) of the following that shows the location of residence within the district:

  • Mortgage documents or property deed; or

  • Apartment or home lease.

  • If the parent/child lives with a family or friend, that person is to provide a Residence Affidavit (contact your zoned school for the affidavit) in addition to one of the above-listed documents. 

3. If the person completing the application is not listed on the Birth certificate, then either court-issued custody papers, or a Non-Legal Custodian Affidavit must be submitted.

Wait to receive a phone call from the Zoned School for further information and steps. 

Step 3

A Parent/Guardian MUST attend the parent meeting for your child to remain in the Pre-K program. If not, your child will be automatically placed at the bottom of the waitlist.

The meeting for the 2026-2027 school year has already occurred. If you are new to the district, please contact your school for more information.
