2026 Summer School

The Rapides Virtual Program will be enrolling students seeking to earn high school credit(s) in courses over the summer. The dates of the summer program are June 1 – June 26, 2026.

Here are some quick facts about this summer’s program:

1. Summer School through RVP is 100% virtual. We will not issue hotspots, Chromebooks, laptops, etc. Students must have their own technology and internet access. If students do not have either, we encourage the use of a public library.

We will offer the following courses (credits):

  • PE I (1.0)
  • PE II (.5)
  • Health (.5)
  • Spanish I (1.0)
  • Spanish II (1.0)
  • French I (1.0)
  • French II (1.0)
  • Fine Arts Survey (1.0), Art I (1.0)
  • Art II (1.0)
  • Financial Literacy (1.0)

2. All coursework is provided through Edgenuity. Edgenuity has live tutors for students in need of academic support.  

3. This program is accelerated, and students must be able to keep up with the fast pace! Students should have hours each day dedicated to their coursework.  

4. The deadline to withdraw without a grade is June 12, 2026. Parents/guardians must email Sandra.powell@rpsb.us to withdraw their student. No refunds will be issued!

5. Final grades for courses taken will be reported to each high school.

6. Fee Payment

  • The last day to register students is May 20, 2026.
  • The fees will be collected at the high school of each student. Contact your school for payment procedures.
  • The cost is $160.00 per course for RPSB students.  
  • The fee for out-of-parish students is $260.00 per course.

7. Dates: Courses will begin on June 1, 2026, and end on June 26, 2026.

8. How to Enroll

  • Contact your high school Guidance Counselor to sign up for courses.  
  • Pay the fee(s) associated with your registration.
