Rapides Virtual Program

The Rapides Virtual Program is not a separate school, every school in Rapides Parish offers classes through the Rapides Virtual Program and every virtual student will be fully enrolled at his or her enrolled school.  However, students in the virtual program will not go to the school campus to attend classes.  If you have not already done so, you must enroll your child in his/her enrolled school in order to be a part of the Rapides Virtual Program.  If your child was granted a hardship, you will need to enroll at the school in which your hardship was granted.


The Rapides Virtual Program will look slightly different from school to school, but virtual learning may consist of specific times for students to log in to to see a live lesson and interact with the teacher, but will also consist of students accessing learning at different times, and working through the learning at his/her own pace. 


To help us adequately prepare for the opening of the 2020-2021 school year,  please complete this form by July 24, 2020, once for each child you have registered in the Virtual Program.  By completing this form you will either verify your child’s enrollment in the Virtual Program or will un-enroll your child from the Virtual Program.  


When you enroll your child in the Rapides Virtual Program, you are agreeing to the following:

  • I will provide a safe learning environment that is free from distractions while my child is learning.
  • I understand the camera on my child’s chromebook or tablet may be active during certain learning activities.
  • I will comply with the guidance and restrictions in the Rapides Virtual Program Handbook.
  • When required, I will provide transportation for my child to and from the school campus.
  • If my child is 10 years old or younger, I will ensure an adult is present with the child and will assist the child when needed.
