Please apply using the employment portal. Please note that you will not be contacted after you submit your application. Once you submit the application, please proceed to scheduling a substitute safety meeting. 

Sub Safety meetings will be held on the following dates, and the meetings will be held at Central Office. The meetings will take place at the Rapides Parish School Boardroom at 619 6th St. in Alexandria, La.

Sub Safety Meetings for 2026-2027
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

July 15th - Boardroom

August 12th - Boardroom 

September 9th - Boardroom

October 14th - Boardroom

January 13th - Boardroom

March 10th - Boardroom

Please register for a Sub Safety Meeting by clicking HERE.

• Schedule the fingerprinting appointment HERE
• LA Wallet is not honored as a form of identification. 
• Two forms of identification are required; valid passports are accepted. 

After all of the above steps are completed, the applicant is added to the “approved list” for substitute employment.
