The Director of Technology develops plans to utilize technology to enhance the classroom learning experience and to improve teacher performance.
The following are some of the areas of responsibility:

• Serves as technology consultant to Central Office personnel, school administrators and teachers

• Communicates regulations and policies relating to technology

• Designs, schedules and conducts technology training for all personnel

• Develops a standard for review and purchase of technology equipment

The Data Processing department services the computer needs for all the schools in the parish and the central office complex. Attendance, grade reporting, and student data is maintained here. Data processing is the link to the State Department of Education, providing the school district with online capabilities.
