Meet Our Master Teacher
Caitlyn Maddox

maddoxMy name is Caitlyn Maddox. I have been an educator in Rapides Parish for 5 years. In those 5 years I have worked as a 3rd grade teacher Data Teams leader, TAP Mentor teacher, and TAP Master teacher. I am excited and honored to become a BPC Master teacher for the 2018-19 school year at Lessie Moore Elementary. I have a passion for leading both teachers and students and helping them experience success in and out of the classroom. On a personal level, my husband of 7 years is the Defensive Coordinator for the Louisiana College Wildcats in Pineville. We spend our weekends wearing orange and blue cheering on the wildcats with our daughter.

Meet Our Principal
Erin Stokes, Ed. D.

Erin Stokes PhotoErin Stokes, Ed.D. is the Principal at Pineville Elementary School. Prior to her current position, Erin has over ten years of experience as a middle school teacher and instructional coach. As a Title I Coordinator for the district, she also helped coordinate and lead professional development for teachers and administrators across Rapides Parish. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Louisiana College, teaching graduate-level courses that prepare alternative-certification teachers for the classroom. Erin’s research focuses on the effects of school culture, climate, and collective efficacy on school reform. She recently won the Louisiana Educational Research Association Award for Outstanding Research (2017) and presented her research at the American Educational Research Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas and the Visible Learning Conference in San Francisco, California. She is also collaborating with professors from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to publish a book for future educational leaders.

Erin is passionate about providing a rigorous educational experience for every child, but also supporting the emotional and physical health of her students. She and the administrative staff have worked to gain community partners to help with these endeavors. She wants to increase the opportunities for the 4th through 6th grades students to be involved in the arts and in sports. Most of all, she wants to see Pineville Elementary become a beacon of hope for the community, as we work together to prepare the next generation.
