Meet Our Principal
Cindy Corley

c corleyBeginning with the 2018-19 school year I, Cynthia Corley, will be the principal of Acadian Elementary. I will be working closely with the administrators in zone 3 to provide a unified school community that will be committed to educating your children throughout their school careers. Our plan is to unite as educators to serve your child from the first day of Pre-K to the last day of 12th grade. Acadian’s leadership team will be the first to greet your child on his or her very first day of school.
As a member of Acadian’s leadership team, I have 13 years of administrative experience and 25 years of educational experience in this school district. I am also a product of the Rapides Parish School System, and I strive to give all children the same educational opportunity I had as a student. As a mother and grandmother, I know there is nothing more precious than my children, and my grandchildren are my world. As a principal, I can promise that there is nothing more important than your children and grandchildren. I will always seek to give your children what I want for my own grandchildren. Your child’s safety, emotional well-being, and education will always be my number one priority. Our team will do our very best to not only educate your children, but also take care of your children as if they are our own!

Meet Our Assistant Principal
Terri Perkins

t perkinsMy name is Terri Perkins, and it is my pleasure to be the Assistant Principal at Acadian Elementary School. I am a product of the Rapides Parish School System and have been a teacher, coach and administrator for 23 years.  I am excited to work with students, parents and teachers, as we grow and learn together at Acadian Elementary.  It is going to be a year of change, growth and learning but I am excited to see what the future holds for our students. I firmly believe that all students deserve opportunities to be successful and are able to achieve, if they are given a supportive learning environment.  I believe that together we can build a brighter future for our students, so I encourage everyone to join with us as we work daily to achieve excellence

We will strive daily for all learning experiences for the students to be highly engaged and reflect real world learning. We will value and foster parental relationships through various forms of communications.

Meet Our Assistant Principal
Della Lemoine

d lemoineMy name is Della Lemoine, and I come from a long line of educators on both mine and my husband’s side of the family. My love of education drove me to pursue both my B.S. degree and M.Ed. from Northwestern State University.  My 30+ years of experience has led me to the position of a Curriculum Specialist, Assistant Principal at Acadian Elementary, and finally to my current position as Assistant Principal at Martin Park Elementary.  It is my goal to collaborate, assist and facilitate the learning of all students while providing and maintaining a positive, safe learning environment.  I look forward to an amazing year building new relationships, working with an incredible administrative team and faculty while promoting community involvement, so we can collectively help our children become “respectful” and “responsible” students.
