Meet Our Principal
Tracy Sieveneicher

tracyI am honored to serve as the principal of L.S. Rugg Elementary! I have gained real insight about working with students and teachers in my 26 years as a teacher and assistant principal. I am excited to welcome all of our new families to L.S. Rugg Elementary and can’t wait to see our returning students. As the leader of L.S. Rugg, I am charged to make the final decisions as to what is best for our students, however, I value the input from all stakeholders. It is a pleasure working daily with our leadership team, teachers, and families who are committed to education and student success! I strive to ensure that all students reach their individual potential in a challenging and positive learning environment. I believe high expectations and consistency are essential components in great school. I will work closely with my leadership team, teacher, and families to guide our students at L.S. Rugg Elementary toward growth, achievement, and fostering strong character. I thank you in advance for your support this year!

Meet Our Master
Teacher Lauren Covey

l coveyI am honored to have experienced ten years of growing and learning in the field of education. In 2011, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Louisiana College. After 8 successful years as a classroom teacher, I became a part of the District’s support team as a Turnaround Specialist. I have been blessed to spend much of that time here at Rugg Elementary, the place I now consider home. I am currently serving in the role as Master Teacher, where I am committed to continuous growth for both our teachers and students. I look forward to a bright future and a successful school year!

I believe by enthusiastically challenging myself and others, while building trusting relationships with faculty, students, and families this excellence will be achieved! The best is yet to come at L.S. Rugg Elementary! I am excited to work alongside our amazing leadership team, teachers and families to make our school a community for everyone! It is a joy to work daily with our faculty and parents to meet the learning needs of our students. L.S. Rugg Elementary will be a place where students achieve greatness and build character. I thank you in advance for your support this year!
