Where is Pineville Elementary
Meet Our Principal
Erin Stokes, Ed. D.
Erin Stokes, Ed.D. is the Principal at Pineville Elementary School. Prior to her current position, Erin has over ten years of experience as a middle school teacher and instructional coach. As a Title I Coordinator for the district, she also helped coordinate and lead professional development for teachers and administrators across Rapides Parish. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Louisiana College, teaching graduate-level courses that prepare alternative-certification teachers for the classroom. Erin’s research focuses on the effects of school culture, climate, and collective efficacy on school reform. She recently won the Louisiana Educational Research Association Award for Outstanding Research (2017) and presented her research at the American Educational Research Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas and the Visible Learning Conference in San Francisco, California. She is also collaborating with professors from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to publish a book for future educational leaders.
Erin is passionate about providing a rigorous educational experience for every child, but also supporting the emotional and physical health of her students. She and the administrative staff have worked to gain community partners to help with these endeavors. She wants to increase the opportunities for the 4th through 6th grades students to be involved in the arts and in sports. Most of all, she wants to see Pineville Elementary become a beacon of hope for the community, as we work together to prepare the next generation.

Pineville Elementary has developed a strong community partnership, which further contributes to the success of its students. Pineville Elementary is in the forefront and is the first school in central Louisiana to adopt the Leader in Me Program, designed to equip all students with the confidence and skills to reach their full potential.
Meet Our Master Teacher
My name is Heather Lipsey and I am excited to have the opportunity to work at Pineville Elementary School as their Master Teacher. I have been a teacher in Rapides Parish for 14 years and during these years have been provided many opportunities to grow in my craft as an educator.
In 2004, I began my teaching career at Carter C. Raymond, where I worked for the next 13 years. Last year, I was honored to be appointed as Master Teacher at North Bayou Rapides Elementary. During the last year, I worked to assist teachers in strengthening their instructional practices in order to increase student achievement.
As Master Teacher at Pineville Elementary, it is my goal to increase student achievement for every child by providing continued support to teachers. This support will be provided through collaborative efforts regarding best instructional practices and instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students. I am excited to be a part of the instructional team at Pineville Elementary, and look forward to helping build a school culture which will cultivate life-long learners while building relationships with all stakeholders.
