Meet Principal Laurie Johnson
Laurie Johnson is the Principal at Lessie Moore Elementary School in Pineville, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s
Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Laurie is also a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts. During her time in the classroom, she taught 1st, 4th, and 6th grades and was also an Instructional Mentor and Coach. In 2009, Laurie made the transition to administration by becoming the Assistant Principal at Lessie Moore. In 2011, she was named principal and has spent the past seven years leading her school. Laurie has been married to her husband, Mark, for six years. Mark and Laurie are both products of Rapides Parish Schools and graduated from Pineville High School where Mark is now Assistant Principal. They have two girls – Landry, 4, and Macy, 3. Landry is a Pre-K student at Lessie Moore with her mom.
