The main function of this office is to work closely with school personnel in reducing liability to exposure to the Board. The Coordinator is also responsible for the following:

• Serves as liaison for the reporting of all accidents of students, employees, and visitors

• Serves as liaison to defense attorneys for the Board

• Conducts monthly safety meetings for all new and substitute employees

• Provides annual meetings in each school to update employees on new safety  issues and board policies in regards to work-related accidents
  Coordinates the Loss Control Evaluation for all School Board facilities

• Administer custodial affairs

• Serves as liaison to the Board’s consultant on the procurement and management of property, casualty, business automotive, student accidents, and flood insurance

• Coordinates environmental management of facilities
